Common questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am currently in-network with several insurance plans including Medi-Cal. I also see private pay clients at $150 per session and offer a generous sliding scale for clients who need it. Reach out and Compass will find something that works for you. For out-of-network plans, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.

Do you see clients in person?

Yes. I see San Francisco clients in person at Compass Family Counseling Services. I also see clients throughout California via telehealth on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so wherever you are in the state, we can work together.

What does a first session look like?

The first session is really just a chance to get to know each other. I'll ask about what's been going on, what brought you in, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. You're also welcome to ask me anything. There's no pressure and nothing you have to have figured out before you show up.

Do you work with teens?

Yes, working with adolescents and teens is one of my specialties. I have experience supporting young people through anxiety, identity, self-harm, family stress, and more. I can also work with parents alongside teen clients when that's a helpful part of the picture.

How do I get started?

Reach out by email or through my Psychology Today profile to request a free 15-minute consultation. We'll connect briefly, I'll answer any questions you have, and we'll figure out together if we're a good fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a flexible cancellation policy and do not charge a cancellation fee. I do ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule, you let me know as soon as possible. After 3 no call no shows, I reserve the right to terminate therapy.
